Hi friend. I am so glad you are here.

If we were meeting in person, we would grab our favorite drinks (mine is a matcha latte) and get comfortable. I would probably ask about your latest idea, and before you finished your first sip, I would already be brainstorming with you. That is just how my brain works. I am always dreaming, imagining, and looking for ways to bring ideas to life.

I am Britni Bateman, a creative strategist, speaker, and storyteller from beautiful Southern Illinois. By day, I get to lead creative marketing and philanthropy storytelling for my alma mater...Southern Illinois University (I'm a proud Saluki!). In my free time, I am the voice behind Britni Brainstorm, a space for ideas, style, and authentic connection.

This blog has been on my heart for a long time. It is part digital magazine, part journal, and part love letter to the creative life. You will find stories about personal branding, leadership with heart, and the creative process, along with my favorite local gems, a little office fashion, and reflections on growth, confidence, and purpose.

The truth is, I started Britni Brainstorm because I believe creativity is not about competition or comparison. It is about showing up fully as yourself in your work, your style, and your story, and creating space for others to do the same. Whether I am speaking to a room full of students or chatting with a friend at a local boutique, my goal is always to help people feel inspired, capable, and seen.

Southern Illinois will always be home for me. It is where the sunsets are golden, the people are kind, and creativity feels grounded in something real. I love that I can chase big ideas here while staying rooted in what matters most.

When I am not writing or speaking, you can usually find me cruising around town with my husband in our 1984 Mercedes convertible, shopping with my sister Kasie, or laughing over matcha lattes with my best friends.

My hope is that when you visit Britni Brainstorm, you feel like you have found a cozy, creative space that encourages you to take up space, lead with kindness, and live boldly.
