Confidence in Corduroy and Leopard Print

If my wardrobe could talk, it would probably say, “She loves a statement piece with a story.”
This look is one of my favorites because it feels like me. It is bold but soft, confident but approachable, creative but classic. The kind of outfit that makes you want to grab your camera, jump in a convertible, and chase good light around town.
The faux fur coat from Cupshe instantly brings old Hollywood energy, but I paired it with a cream sweater from Eccentrics Boutique to keep things grounded and cozy. I love supporting locally owned shops, and this Carterville favorite always helps me find pieces that feel both timeless and expressive.
After seeing the Halara corduroy skirt pop up on my social feeds for years, I finally gave in, and I am so glad I did. I ordered the longer length for a bit of extra coverage, and I love that it has built-in shorts for modesty and comfort. It is comfortable, flattering, and adds just enough structure to balance the texture of the coat. You can find it here.

The leopard print boots by Kate Spade might be my favorite detail. They are playful and a little daring, which is exactly how I want to feel when I get dressed. I have always believed that animal print is a neutral, so you will see it show up often in my outfits. It adds personality and confidence without ever feeling out of place. To tie everything together, I added a leopard print belt by Vince Camuto that I found at Nordstrom Rack for a very affordable price. It connects the boots to the rest of the outfit perfectly and adds that subtle touch of balance I love.

To complete the look, I wore Toast fleece-lined tights from Noosh in fair and black. They give the illusion of sheer tights without sacrificing warmth, which makes them a winter essential in Southern Illinois.
This outfit makes me feel like I could walk into a meeting, grab a matcha latte with a friend, or film a creative project all in one afternoon. That is what I love about personal style. It is not about trends or rules. It is about wearing something that makes you feel like the most confident version of yourself.
Fashion, for me, is an extension of creativity. It is another form of storytelling, one you can wear.
